I then started working as a children’s guardian in London representing children in public law proceedings which I have continued to do on a part time basis since. From 1992-1995 I was part-time Panel Manager for the Buckinghamshire Guardian Panel (pre-Cafcass). In 2001 I started working as an independent social worker. I have taken work from local authorities, solicitors, NYAS and have been instructed as an expert witness in family proceedings. I have prepared many reports and given evidence on many occasions. I have developed a particular interest in children under 5, NAI, attachment issues and also families of African-Caribbean heritage.
