  • The Family Justice Board statement on priorities for the family justice system. This sets out the planned priorities to deal with the backlog of cases which we now face as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.   Download the statement here.

 

  •  ‘Guidance on Recovery & Reform in Public Law Proceedings’ has been issued with the approval of the FJB and the President of the Family Division.  Children’s Guardians are particularly directed to paragraphs 21 to 26 which sets out how they can contribute to the recovery process in public law work.  Download the guidance here.

 

  • The Private Law Advisory Group’s final report, also dated 9 December 2020, sets out  ‘to deliver a significant and ambitious programme of reform of ‘private law’ in England and Wales.’ Annex A sets out the Group’s proposals for immediate change. Download the final report here.
