‘I am pleased to introduce the second edition of the London Strategy Newsletter.
Since the last newsletter in July, London has made some remarkable and sustained progress, particularly in the longest running cases. London has been the most improved region against the Family Justice Board’s priorities—and notably, the only one to show positive movement across all four areas. This is a significant achievement and a testament to the dedication of everyone involved.
However, we know there is still more to do. Our overarching goal remains clear: to shift away from a culture where delays and repeated adjournments are seen as routine. Instead, we must embed a shared expectation that cases will progress without unnecessary postponements and be resolved in a timely and effective manner.
We listened to feedback and revised the practice direction which has now been published.
Thank you for your continued commitment to placing children at the heart of everything you do.’
-The President of the Family Division – Sir Andrew McFarlane
Kind regards
The London Oversight Group
