PRESS RELEASE - ONE LAW FOR ALL: NAGALRO REPEATS ITS CALL FOR CORPORAL PUNISHMENT OF CHILDREN TO BE OUTLAWED

NAGALRO'S RESPONSE:

Urfan Sharif, convicted of murdering his daughter Sara Sharif, claimed that ‘I legally punished my child’. Sara’s name must now be added to the awful catalogue of children murdered by their parents and carers in the name of ‘lawful chastisement’. The list is a long one including Star Hobson and Arthur Labinjo-Hughes. In January 2021, a few weeks before Laura Castle fatally assaulted Leiland-James Corkill, the child she was supposed to be going to adopt, she sent text messages to her husband, complaining about the little boy, referring to ‘leathering’ him and her fears that, if she started smacking him, she might be unable to stop......click on the link below to continue reading response
