This experiential workshop will present a range of quick and easy to access tools and techniques to support parenting and family assessments and hearing the voice of the child. The tools and techniques draw from play and art therapy as well as Therapeutic Life Story Work. We will also consider ways of explaining to the child who you are and why you are seeing them. A handout will be provided of printable worksheets to use during visits to children
The course will be of interest to social workers, children’s guardians, family court advisers and child care solicitors, including new entrants and those who wish to update their knowledge about direct contact in permanent placement.
