This course will address areas of risk and uncertainty in assessment and planning in terms of parental capacity and potential effects on children.  The trainer will examine how certain - or otherwise- we can be of possible outcomes, and the causes of them?  What are the limits and boundaries of professional decision-making in these areas, based on what information?  We will consider theories and models of risk assessment, and their practical applications.
